![]() ![]() So yes, a level 5 Rogue can sneak attack a level 5 Barbarian by feinting. Being flat-footed is just the most common way of losing your Dex bonus, but it isn't the only way and it isn't directly related to sneak attacks. Sneak attack doesn't check if the target is flat-footed, it checks whether the target is denied his Dex bonus to AC. Whether you have Improved Feint doesn't really matter either, that just changes the action. Feinting doesn't make the target flat-footed, it just makes it so they can't use their Dex bonus to AC for one attack. It just says "At 2nd level, a barbarian retains his Dexterity bonus to AC (if any) even if he is caught flat-footed or struck by an invisible attacker." p26) seems to make it so that a Barbarian never ever loses his Dex bonus to AC. I appreciate the help guys! I can't see this one with a clear head. Is there ever a situation (besides the Barbarian being Immobilized) that a level 5 Rouge could Sneak Attack a level 5 Barbarian? What are these? Does that apply against Improved Feint as well? If he keeps his Dex bonus, is he still considered Flat Footed for purposes of applying Sneak Attack? This one should be a no brainer, I think I'm having difficulty just because I really want this to work. ![]()
